Not all religions lead to God. It is rather obvious which ones do not. At the heart of "wicked religion" is the denigration, dismissal and destruction of people (e.g. "believers" who support abortion). At the heart of "wicked religion" is the foolish notion that a person can gain salvation of his own doing. The following points speak for themselves...7 Identifications of Wicked Religion:
1. It appoints itself as God's representative while it is not. (Matthew 23:2)
2. It preaches righteousness while its lifestyle is wretchedness. (Matthew 23:3)
3. It lays heavy burdens on human beings, puts them in bondage, keeps them there and leads them to hell. (Matthew 23:4, 15)
4. It appeals to vanity / wicked men's desire to be noticed/exalted/worshiped. (Matthew 23:5-7)
5. It overrules the Bible as the final rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
6. It takes its stand against the very people of God. (John 16:2; Zechariah 14:1-4)
7. It does not exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and His Person alone. (1 Corinthians 1:23-24)

This is a great post. Too often each one of us can find themselves aligned on the side of the wicked religious. It will be so nice in the day when we see our Lord and leave behind the flawed shell we live in and leave behind the vanity and pride we carry. Thanks for a great article.
why not mention Islam. Its not a true religion, but an Ideology. Islam brainwashes its members into thinking they are the one true religion.
Muslims believe in sharia law which allows for the stoning of women, the honor killing of daughters, the cutting off hands and legs. No true religion would believe in such brutality.
Islam teaches Muslims to hate us infidels and the jews. Jesus never preached hatred.

Thank you for this information. There is a false teacher who is a movie producer named Renee Roland who practices the very things you mention in this article. I'm warning people about her by name because I'm OVER her trying to deceive spirit filled believers into living their lives any ungodly way they choose because of grace.
She has something against repentance and constantly twists scriptures about repentance out of context to make them mean what SHE wants them to mean instead of what they actually mean. Her actual message is 'Do as thou wilt' because grace will carry you through.
She claims repentance as a dead work of the flesh. Yet the bible clearly tells us that we MUST repent and be DOERS of the word, not forgetful HEARERS only. She claims the people who know Christians must repent are 'Calvinist' and will hear 'Depart from me ye that work iniquity. I never knew you.' I'm not sure where her confusion comes in considering that JESUS said the people who will hear that statement are the ones who don't do the will of God. You know? Like Renee.
She always has a FALSE interpretation for every scripture that she claims means the opposite of what it actually means. Does she think God is dumb and didn't know how to translate his own gospel correctly? She certainly thinks his people are stupid that we would fall for this nonsense. Or maybe she thinks his Prophets were kinda slow and she needs to explain things her own way. Curious George could explain the gospel better.
'Saved by grace' means exactly that. Nothing more. Grace is not a license to CONTINUE in your sins with the hope that grace may abound. Did Paul not explain that perfectly? Jesus said BE NOT ENTANGLED AGAIN with the yoke of bondage. Sounds like Christians STILL have to STOP sinning in spite of grace. Jesus even told Mary Magdalene 'Go and Sin no more.' How much more cut and dry can you be than that? Yet 'Renee Roland' has her very own out of the pit of hell explanation for THAT scripture too. I smell a Luciferian witch with evil intentions in the ranks. This woman really wants Christianity and Christians to fall by the way side.
