Entrance at the Gate
Tweet
Journey to the Celestial City #10. In our continuing look at John Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress," today we find the man, Christian, continuing on to the Wicket Gate after receiving forgiveness for turning aside from the Way. Upon his arrival at the gate, Christian knocks and one named "Goodwill" answers. After hearing that Christian is desirous of salvation, Goodwill opens the gate to him and Christian goes in. And salvation is for all would desire forgiveness of sins and a restored relationship with God. But it is at the small and narrow gate that we must enter and going against the masses. "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14) More to come in the next blog post. Check back soon.
