Still Only the Cross It Is
Tweet
Journey to the Celestial City #9. In our continuing look at John Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress," today we find the man, Christian, receiving a rebuke from his friend, Evangelist. It is with a severe countenance that Evangelist chastises Christian for thinking he could be released of his burden of sin through works of the law. And the world would offer another way to attain eternal life aside from the cross, but still only the cross it is. "For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18) More to come in the next blog post. Check back soon.
