The 8 Don'ts of Twitter / Tweeting (plus 1 bonus)
This is just a real quick post off the top of my head. Here are some thoughts on approaching twitter and tweeting that I think will help you have an enjoyable experience (and gain followers, too)...
The 8 Don'ts of Twitter /Tweeting (plus 1 bonus):
1. Don't use a false location in your bio (unless you're helping the Iranian people overthrow their government)
2. Don't use a cartoon character, scary picture or scantily clad pose as your avatar (we want to see you ~ and with clothes on!)
3. Don't forget you're establishing an identity ~ presence/personality ("brand") in many ways (be attractive)
4. Don't be a policeman (or woman) of everyone else's tweeting approach (I'm not really doing that here ;P)
5. Don't get caught up in numbers of followers (it doesn't mean anything~really it doesn't)
6. Don't try to be someone you're not (enough self-appointed "gurus" already)
7. Don't forget to spend time with the important relationships in your life (twitter, social media, the computer shouldn't be the replacement)
8. Don't use Christ's name in vain (you will stand before Him in judgment some day) (Hebrews 9:27) #HeIsRisen
BONUS: Don't forget the 110% rule. If you want to pass following 2,000 people, you need approximately 1,820-ish followers. Google "twitter karma," unfollow those who aren't following you back, then follow some more ;D
